Dr. Leska is a native Minnesotan, born in Mankato and raised in St. Paul and Minneapolis. She was co-valedictorian of her high school class.
She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Biology at St. Mary's College in Winona (now known as St. Mary's University of Minnesota). She chose optometry as her career because of her interest in math and the sciences, and her desire to work with people. In 1980, she was awarded her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, IN. She returned to Minnesota in 1981 to practice optometry. Dr. Leska is Board Certified in the treatment and management of ocular diseases and disorders. She has held several Offices in the Kasson Chamber of Commerce, South Eastern Minnesota Optometric Society and has served as Treasurer of the Minnesota Optometric Association for three years. She was named the Minnesota Optometrist of the Year in 1996 by the Minnesota Optometric Association. She is married with three children and five grandchildren and resides in rural Kasson, MN.
